“When the chips are low, I will always deliver”
All my life, I have had people doubt me. From teachers, to work managers, exes but even worse, myself. However, every occasion, I’ve prove them wrong and done what I needed to do to succeed. It might have taken me a bit longer than I originally planned but life happens. We all saw how life was put on hold for a year with COVID and not everything can be smooth sailing with how you had it planned in your head / dream. Nevertheless, you can plan the perfect life and fail. It’s how you bounce back that matters.
Doubt, it’s easy to let it overcome you and eat you up, isn’t it? But you must fight it. You must not fear rejection, failure or being wrong. You must realise that this worry of not being appreciated or actually not being understood, is simply part of the process. Which is the journey to success and I know its easier written/said than done.
We must realise our potential, whatever you choose to do, whatever road you decide to take and are taking. Remember, the power is within you, do what makes you happy and remember that anything is possible when you set your mind to it! There are no limits. If you’re depressed, you’re living in the past. If you’re anxious, you’re living in the future. If you’re at peace, you’re living in the moment. Hear me clear, you can comeback from anything.
Do you ever notice how happy you get when you literally just do you? You took a L? Keep going! You left your spouse? Keep going! Your friends switched up on you? Keep going! Lost your job? Keep going! Lost it all? Get it back! Negative people? Get rid of ’em! Bad habits? Change em! You wanna be accepted? Stop! Bet on yourself. It isn’t about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, that’s how winning is done.
Doubt is a sneaky little thing that can creep into your life without you even knowing if you’re not careful. Before you know it, you find yourself second-guessing yourself, the people around you, your faith, and everything. Doubt can take over and keep you stuck. Learning how to overcome doubt can be an important step in learning how to live full of confidence, and go after your dreams. You must be careful never to allow doubt to paralyse you. Always take the decisions you need to take, even if you’re not sure you’re doing the right thing. Instead, talk back to that doubtful part of yourself.
I’d like to think I have another 50+ years on this earth so I am on a long journey so why am I rushing life? I’m growing in confidence and posts like these really do help give me a boost especially after the year I had. In the last few weeks, I’ve had some small improvements in my life, business flowing, new much improved job and a brilliant relationship. I need to stop convincing myself that I am wasting my life away. The time I’ve spent resting and healing was and is necessary. I’m not a ‘loser’ because I found myself struggling for the past couple of years. Healing, recovering, sitting with my pain wasn’t a rest. I am still the Darkside DON!
I fought back from thinking about suicide, mental health and depression. What I want more than anything is to show the world it can be done. Anything is possible with the right mindset. If you look to your past experiences and see how well things have gone many times despite those self-doubts then it become easier to let go of them. Focus on the more likely positive outcome and to take action. Everyone has times in their life when they feel inadequate and emotionally drained, but some of us feel that way more often than others. Many of us tend to focus on the negative events and unfortunate situations. Do you know what you want out of life but can’t seem to master up the confidence you need to go out and get it? If so, chances are you are dealing with self-doubt. Everyone experiences self-doubt from time to time, it can help motivate you to improve your performance and avoid making the kind of mistakes associated with having too much self-confidence.
So to everyone who ever doubted me, look at me now, proving you wrong.
Better yet, proving myself right!
