Find peace

“I am going to tell you straight like this, it doesn’t matter what kind of person you are. Rich or poor. Everyone needs peace in their life. If you wake up and you don’t have peace then you’re pissed”

Word to Novelist for the opening paragraph.

No matter what you are doing and where you are living; finding real peace to live a contented life shouldn’t be difficult.

How often do you manage to turn off your mind and really enjoy some silence? Or maybe you are one of those people who can’t even imagine such a thing to be possible? Well, it is possible to find peace within yourself. It might not be easy in the beginning, but eventually, you will find it and this blog should help.

I am pretty sure that after practicing the below-mentioned ways you will find an instant change to your life and your thoughts.

1. Don’t Push Yourself Hard for Something

Somehow, if you are finding difficulties to complete a specific task, give yourself a little break. This way, you will feel a lot more energized and revitalized. I follow this practice and it works effectively. After all, you are a human and you can’t do everything in a perfect way. Sometimes, we get tired of doing the same work over and over again. In this situation, taking a break from work is always a sensible decision, that’s what I did. Therefore, you should never push yourself too much to achieve something despite your goals and ambitions.

2. Stop Thinking About Your Past

We all learn from our past bad experiences, but thinking about them too much won’t allow you to live in the present time. Keep thanking God for your life and live every single moment of it. If you are really going through some bad days (it’s meant to happen), then ride it out to get back to the good days so instead. Remember, consider the entire situation as a motivation to be a better person in the future and learn. You should also focus on evolving your present without thinking about what happened in the past.

3. Spend Quality Time with Loved Ones

While you may be busy working and moving towards achieving your goals, giving proper time to family and loved ones can help and rejuvenate your mind. I don’t know why people have time for everything except their families for whom they are working days and nights. Time is more important than everything, you being at home is more important than work, who will get rid of you in an instant. Remember, your family/loved ones are a true source of motivation, and spending quality time with them can help you find peace. I understand, not everyone has a great relationship with certain members, friends come and go but you only have one family.

4. Silence your mind to find peace

We all need some quiet time, away from all the mental noise, away from our so-called problems and it feels so good to turn off your mind from time to time. Look within for that peace within yourself – that peace that nothing and no one could ever take it away from you. That peace that comes from being fully present and engaged in your daily life.

To silence your mind is not an impossible task. It can be done and you achieve this by becoming present in the now;

a) by paying attention to your surroundings;

b) by paying attention to your inner feelings in your body.

The more you do this, the easier it will be for you to discover the peace that’s already present within yourself.

5. Finding Peace within yourself

Whenever you’ll try to sit quietly without doing a single thing – nothing at all, trying to detach yourself from all your so-called problems, from your own life, your own thinking, etc, you will immediately realize how your mind will get louder and you will start overthinking things. It will try to convince you that what you are doing is a complete waste of time, and you will probably hear words like…

”Hey, you!

What are you trying to do? Don’t you realize how much work there is to be done? Are you just going to sit here, doing nothing? Are you crazy or something? Do you even realize how much time you’re wasting? Get up and get busy. Time is money, my friend, time is money!

Come on! What are you waiting for?!”

The mind will get so loud, so noisy and it will be almost impossible to ignore it.

(A lot of people stop here. They give up, believing that it is an impossible task and once again, the mind wins.)

But you don’t have to believe everything your mind is telling you. You don’t have to believe everything you think. You don’t have to stop.

“It is neither good nor bad, but THINKING makes it so.” ~ William Shakespeare

Everyone can find inner peace. The path is through acceptance. Some seekers take a longer path than others as they work out to resolve personal inner conflicts within their life, that’s fine, there’s no time limit. The path taken to find inner peace is as hard or simple as a person makes the journey of self-acceptance to be. Inner peace can be as simple as letting go and taking the risk to prosper. Likewise, it can be as hard as endlessly proving oneself to every other person you encounter. Inner peace can be discovered when understanding many questions are asking about inner Truth. Inner peace is a matter of accepting your life as an answer to questions of inner truth.

No need to look outside yourself. No need to search anymore. Just look within and you will find the peace that surpasses all understanding. The peace that is yours to keep, to hold, have, and more importantly, keep!
